BOSTON – The Cannabis Control Commission plans to deal with the last of its priority review applications next week, and there are 70 business license applications waiting for the CCC once that work is cleared off the regulators’ plate.
At its meeting Thursday morning, the CCC did not consider new requests to have business licenses reviewed on an expedited basis and instead resolved to finish going through those applications next Tuesday.
The CCC has approved 84 economic empowerment program applicants and 82 registered marijuana dispensary (RMD) companies for priority review and has denied expedited review for two economic empowerment applicants and one RMD. Those approved for priority review will have their business license applications jump toward the front of the CCC’s queue once the agency starts reviewing license applications.
Executive Director Shawn Collins gave a bit of a preview of
