‘Rurban’ feel helps Greenfield’s downtown thrive

A long, distinguished history in Greenfield offers up many lessons that leads us into innovating for the future.  Historically at the crossroads of Boston-Albany and Montreal-New York, Greenfield is reclaiming its “cross-roads” designation as the urban center in the most rural county in Massachusetts. 

Greenfield’s location in Western Massachusetts is far enough way, but close enough to be strongly connected with the larger metro areas in New England.  With affordable and reliable high speed broadband internet service, expanding rail service, educational and cultural resources as well as the great outdoors in our backyard, Greenfield is a great small city in which to work, live, and play.

As mayor, I made it a priority to bring affordable, reliable, high speed internet by creating Greenfield Energy and Technology.  This municipal utility provides great service to support residents and small businesses with cutting edge broadband.  This supports the emerging game
